Laboratory analysis of soils (AzDTN-ASTM-BS)

Laboratory analysis of soils (AzDTN-ASTM-BS)

  • Analysis of physical and mechanical properties of soils in laboratory conditions;
  • Conducting soil analyses according to AzDTN (State Construction Standards of the Republic of Azerbaijan), ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) and BS (British Standards) methods;
  • Determining physical properties of soils such as density, bulk density and porosity;
  • Analyzing water content, water absorption and swelling properties of soils;
  • Measuring mechanical properties of soils such as shear strength, slip resistance and radiation scattering coefficient;
  • Classification and sorting of sand, clay and other natural materials in laboratory conditions;
  • Conducting compression, pressure and elasticity tests of soils;
  • Various granulometric analyses (stone measurements, suitable filtration tests, etc.);
  • Determining minerals and chemical components in the composition of soils;
  • Analysis of the ability of soils to react with water, especially swelling and compaction properties;
  • Evaluation of data obtained as a result of laboratory tests in accordance with geological and engineering analysis;
  • Determining the structural and physical-mechanical properties of various soil types (e.g. clay, sand, stone, etc.) and applying the results of the analyses to design and construction work.
